When you go to a party and you know there will be alcohol drinking, designate a driver who will drive you home and make sure that he doesn't drink beyond the allowable limit.
You can save a friend's life by not letting him get behind the wheel when you know he's not in a perfect shape to drive. Take their car keys even if you have to do it by force. They will be forever grateful to you once they come around. Drive them home yourself or get them a cab. If people would start acting like responsible adults then the number of drunk driving accidents would drop dramatically and the road will be once again safe for driving.
